The spawn will be on in some form, but will the fish still be in pre-spawn, spawn or post spawn? The angler who figures this out in KY has the best shot at taking the title!
Don’t let Kentucky fool you, it has some of the most beautiful river bassin water in in the country, especially in the “small stream” category. However, there is big water within the boundaries as well. Will this stop be taken by some of those creek smallmouth or will largemouth or spotted bass from the bigger rivers be the winning strategy? Who knows, but I do know all will have a blast as Canoe Kentucky hosts the event in conjunction with the town of Frankfort who have set up an entire demo day on the river where the “results show” and food will be served. So, even if you can’t fish the tournament for some reason you should come on out to watch the show and test out any kayak or canoe you have been dying to try!
